In South Africa, ‘biogas is essential for prosperity’
The Southern African Biogas Industry Association (SABIA) launched their market position paper last month. The paper demonstrates the potential of the South African biogas sector to create 30,000 jobs, reduce the national greenhouse emissions by 2% and attract 50 billion Rand of investments.
David Newman, President of WBA, presented a global perspective at SABIA’s launch. Governments need to shift subsidies from ecological destruction to ecological regeneration, David said.
