Greeting card from Brazil
Felipe Souza Marques, Technology Development Director at CIBiogas, will speak in the panel discussion on “#MBH Global & National Trends: Emerging Markets” on at the World Biogas Summit, taking place alongside the World Biogas Expo on 10-11 July, 2024 at the NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom. Felipe’s talk will centre on the Brazilian biogas market, whilst the other panellist Gordon Ayres will cover the South African bigas market. The session will be moderated by Dr Pradeep Monga, Senior Advisor and Policy Director, WBA — his background includes posts as Director of Energy and Climate Change of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Sustainable Development Advisor and Chief of the Energy and Environment Programme at the UN Development Programme (UNDP).
Market analysists predict colossal and transformative growth in the sector between now and 2050, with most of that growth coming from emerging markets – all of whom also have increasing populations, with increasing propensity for economic growth and energy demands. The “Emerging Markets” session at the Summit will hear directly from some of the markets where there is the greatest potential for the growth of the industry worldwide and illuminate some of the challenges and opportunities they have and discuss how these can be negotiated and maximised respectively.
The biogas trade show — made up of the World Biogas Expo, World Biogas Summit and AD and Biogas Industry Awards — “is the best opportunity to connect biogas technology key players in the biogas industry calendar,” says Felipe. See below for Felipe’s photos from his projects in Brazil…
