Since 2021, Pedro Palencia has served as Director of Institutional Affairs and Regulation at the Spanish Gas Association (SEDIGAS), bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the energy sector.
Having joined SEDIGAS in 2016, Pedro has focused his career on the analysis and development of energy policies and regulatory frameworks, making significant contributions to Spain’s energy transition and the integration of renewable gases into the national grid.
His background includes serving as Energy Advisor at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade from 2004 to 2011, and as Director of Policy and Regulation at the Spanish Photovoltaic Energy Association (UNEF).
Pedro’s leadership of the Hydrogen Regulation Working Group and the Renewable Gas Committee at SEDIGAS highlights his pivotal role in advancing a sustainable hydrogen economy and driving collaborative efforts to address regulatory and technical challenges in the field.
