Dr Abel Clemente Reyes

Dr Clemente is a Mechanical Electrical Engineer from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), with a master’s degree in digital systems and a doctorate in energy and environmental engineering from the same university.

With over 40 years of experience, he has developed and implemented projects across sectors including oil and gas, water treatment, renewable energy, energy planning, bioenergy, and automation. He provides specialised consulting in hydrocarbons, renewable energy, and bioenergy for both public and private institutions.

Dr Clemente has contributed to the development of regulations on oil flaring and burners, biodigesters, and biomethane for industrial applications. He collaborates with the Mexican Association of Biomass and Biogas (Asociación Mexicana de Biomasa y Biogás, AMBB), the College of Mechanical Electrical Engineers (CIME), the National Permanent Committee of Experts in Renewable and Clean Energies (CONAPPERL), and the Energy Planning Unit (UPE) at UNAM.

He holds Certification No. 15 as a collegiate expert in renewable energies (bioenergy), awarded by CIME–CONAPPERL.
