WBA quoted in Times food waste article

WBA President David Newman has been quoted in an article on food waste that has appeared in the UK’s Times newspaper.

The article focuses on rethinking food waste as a resource and cites WBA’s report Global Food Waste Management: An Implementation Guide For Cities, produced in collaboration with C40 Cities.

On the need for food waste collections, David says in the article:

We have all the technologies we need, but still waste 30 to 40 per cent of all food. The most important factor making innovation happen on the ground is policy; this means taking our commitments to climate change, sustainable development, soil, water, and air quality seriously.
